FORESTS PLAN REVISION PUBLIC COLLABORATION WORKSHOPS CONTINUE IN DENVER AND COLORADO SPRINGS

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pike and San Isabel National Forests are continuing their Forests Plan Revision public collaboration workshops with two new meetings next week; one in Denver and the other in Colorado Springs. The scheduled meetings will run from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm at the following locations:

· Tuesday, Jan. 30; Denver; Lloyd C. Clements Community Center, 1580 Yarrow St. (Lakewood)
· Wednesday, Jan. 31; Colorado Springs; La Foret Conference Center, 6145 Shoup Rd. (Black Forest)

(If adverse weather occurs on the day of a meeting be sure to call the Forest Supervisor's office at 719-553-1400 between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm to make sure the meeting has not been cancelled.)

A lot has changed since the original Pike and San Isabel National Forests Land and Resource Management Plan was written in 1984. Participation throughout the entire workshop, particularly from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, is encouraged, as participants will be able to share their ideas about is working well on the Forests and what needs to change and most importantly, why.

The workshop agenda is posted on the Pike and San Isabel National Forests Plan Revision website at www.fs.fed.us/r2/psicc/projects/forest_revision/for_rev.shtml. For additional information or special accommodations call 719-553-1400 or visit the website.
