Colorado Springs, Colo., June, 20, 2007 - The U.S. Forest Service, Pike National Forest-Pikes Peak Ranger District is seeking public comment regarding a proposed fuels treatment project in Teller County. The project area encompasses approximately 150 acres and uses primarily large equipment capable of grinding dead standing and live standing trees.
The proposed project lies adjacent to the south end of Woodland Park, in portions of sections 30, 31, and 32 of T12S, R68W, and 6th P.M. Teller County, commonly known as Sunny Glenn.
The objectives of the proposal are:

If you have any comments about this proposed action, please submit them in writing, to District Ranger, 601 South Weber Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. The Scoping Notice is posted to the web under Public Scoping at: http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/psicc/projects/.
