Barbara Light of 8051 Park County Road 102, is currently under investigation for Animal Cruelty. Several of her horses were found to be in poor condition after Park County Animal Control Officers responded to her home. Veterinarian Judy Hill was called to the location and concurred with the findings of the Sheriff's Office.

Five horses were surrendered to the Dream Catcher Equine Rescue LLC, which is located in Pueblo.

The officers participating in this investigation are certified Animal Cruelty Investigators. They received their certification from the State Bureau of Animal Protection League. They used the Henekee Body Scoring technique in order to evaluate the condition of the animals.

Investigation is ongoing.
