TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG BUST

On August 26, 2008 Deputy Nate Carrigan stopped a vehicle at milepost 228 on Highway 285 for a minor traffic infraction. During the course of the traffic stop, Deputy Carrigan contacted his supervisor Corporal Darren Lougheed. The vehicle was subsequently searched and a sealed bag of marijuana was found along with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Park County investigators were called into the case and a search warrant was later executed at 130 Tipi Court in the Indian Mountain subdivision.

Investigators found 150 marijuana plants along with bags of processed marijuana. Adam Schneller and Matthew Evans were arrested. Adam Schneller was released after posting a $4,500.00 bond and Matthew Evans was released on after posting a $3,000.00 bond.
