At approximately 12:08 PM on 08-16-09 troopers from the Colorado State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash on Colorado 285 near milepost 216 in Park County.

A blue 2008 Toyota Rav4 was traveling northbound on CO 285. A black 2008 GMC Sierra towing a trailer was traveling southbound on CO 285. The Toyota crossed the center line and the front left side of the Toyota hit the left side of the trailer being towed by the GMC. After impact, the Toyota continued off the west side of the roadway.

The restrained male driver of the Toyota has been identified as Angshuman Chakraborty, 34 of Highlands Ranch, CO. Mr. Chakraborty sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A restrained female party in the Toyota has been identified as Chandrayi Chakraborty, 5 of Highlands Ranch, CO. Chandrayi sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Children's Hospital.

An additional restrained female passenger in the Toyota has been identified as Paramita Chakraborty, 35 of Highlands Ranch, CO. Paramita sustained minor injuries and was transported to Swedish Medical Center.

The unrestrained male driver of the GMC has been identified as Richard Pershall, 52 of Golden. Pershall was not injured.

Alcohol/drugs are not suspected as contributing factors.
