Mr. Santa Claus, annual visitor to Park County, has filed his usual flight plan with the Dept. of Air Sleigh Holiday Event Records (DASHER). Officials at DASHER were unable to confirm just how many years these annual plans have been filed. Mr. Claus declined to comment on this question.

When asked, he simply tapped his finger to the side of his nose with a twinkle
in his eye.
DASHER remarks that the Claus flight plan is unique for this area. The plan calls for Mr. Claus to arrive in Park County at 00:00 hours (midnight) on December 24th, stay as long as necessary, and also depart the area at 00:00 hours. During his trip through Park County, Claus will deliver thousands of toys and other gifts, drink dozens of glasses of milk, and eat several plates of cookies and other treats. According to a spokesman for Claus Overflight Midnight Effect on Time (COMET), time appears to stand still during the visit by Claus' sleigh. This causes the record of his arrival and departure to appear to be the same moment on the Official Flight Plan.
Over the years, several groups have provided ground security for the Santa Claus visit. Park County and the Claus team thank the Sheriff's Deputies, Fire and Emergency Services, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, Coast Guard, and all Veterans for keeping Christmas safe year after year.
NORAD has a great collection of Santa Claus photos and will be tracking Santa's progress again this year at their website Norad Santa
