CURRENT EXCEPTIONS TO STAGE II FIRE BAN
IN PARK COUNTY



On June 28, 2006, the Park County Sheriff issued a memorandum to the County's Stage II Fire Ban restrictions. Park County was ordered to Stage II on Wednesday, June 21. The memorandum lists some specific exceptions from the normal restrictions of Stage II.

Sheriff Wegener's memorandum reads as follows:

Re: Stage II Fire Ban

Under the Stage II Fire Ban, the following will be allowed:

Chainsaws can be used for commercial purposes only and party must meet the requirements of the Fire District they are in.

Gas engines, i.e. lawnmowers, weedeaters and generators are allowed.

Outside water heaters are allowed as long as the only thing burned in them is wood.
