- Jeff believes in supporting our military AND their mission because he knows that this War on Terror that we fight today affects the lives of our children and grandchildren. Supporting our troops goes beyond the battlefield though; Jeff supports our military families here at home and helped author the "Military Housing Privatization Initiative," helping to place over 100,000 military families into well-deserved brand new homes.

America began with immigrants. We have a responsibility to ensure that all who migrate to
our great country do so lawfully and abide by the systems we have in place to do so. Jeff will
not reward those who enter our country illegally, nor will he allow our tax-paying citizens to
bear their burden by hindering the American family’s pocketbook with unnecessary
expenses.

Balance the budget and implement more responsible spending

Our families balance checkbooks and budgets all the time, and we should expect the same
from our leaders in Washington. Federal spending has been reckless for too long. It is
immoral to ask our children to deal with our financial mismanagement in their future. We
must adhere to a balanced budget and leave the generations to come with the good habit of
conservative spending and wise fiscal planning.

Advocate for our Second Amendment right

As a life-long hunter and firearms owner, Jeff supports the right to keep and bear arms. He
believes that we have the right to protect our families and our homes and this right to do so
should never be revoked by our government.

Reform the IRS

Jeff believes in the people controlling their government, not the government controlling the
people. Jeff knows the IRS regulations are out of control and that no citizen should ever fear
the government because of a tax audit. Our systems have become too complicated and too
expensive. It is time we simplify our code with the goal of easing the tax-payer burden and therefore expanding the growing effect on our economy. Jeff believes in eliminating the IRS
and replacing it with a fairer, simpler tax system.

Protect Private Property Rights and Conserve our Natural Resources

Colorado is a beautiful state with many natural resources unique to our well-being. Jeff
understands the need to help families keep their homesteads, conserve the beauty that brings
revenue to our State and secure our rights for the water that flows through our soil. These
resources are precious to us and we need Jeff in Congress to fight for them because
Colorado’s future will depend on it.
