There will be a Primary Election on August 12, 2008 when the Park County voters will
choose the Republican candidates for the November General Election ballot. The above meetings in your area, will be your opportunity to meet the candidates, hear their platforms and the opportunity to ask a few questions. Due to the death of Commissioner Doc McKay from District 3, all commissioner districts are open. The following are the known candidates at this time:

- District #2 Richard Hodges (Deer Creek Valley and Woodside north of 285)
- District #3 Lillian Wissel and Mark Dowaliby (West & south of Kenosha Pass)
