Fire Weather Red Flag *Warning* - N & W Park County

... Red flag warning in effect from 10 am to 9 PM MDT Friday for
wind and low relative humidity for fire weather zone 205 below
7500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a red
flag warning below 7500 feet for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from 10 am to 9 PM MDT Friday.

* Affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 205 Colorado
River headwaters below 7500 feet.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Relative humidity... 13 to 18 percent.

* Impacts...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Weather Watch below 7500 feet for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday
evening. A red flag warning remains in effect below 7500 feet from
10 am this morning through 9 PM MDT this evening for wind and low
relative humidity.

* Affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 205 Colorado
River headwaters below 7500 feet.

* Winds... west 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Relative humidity... 13 to 18 percent.

* Impacts... rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible
under these conditions.

are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
