Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:36 PM MDT Jun. 17, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...

* until 430 PM MDT.

* At 235 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Castle Rock and Franktown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, highways and underpasses. Additionally, country
roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks, streams and other low
lying areas are subject to flooding.
