Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 3:28 PM MDT Jul. 24, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a

* small stream flood advisory

* until 630 PM MDT.

* At 327 PM MDT, a thunderstorm producing heavy rain was located 4
miles east of Tarryall Reservoir, or 44 miles southwest of Denver.
This storm is nearly stationary. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of east Central Park
County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
creeks and streams, roads and roadside culverts. The heavy rains
could also trigger rock slides or debris flows in steep terrain.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
