Fire Weather Watch - NE Park County

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Tuesday afternoon
through Tuesday evening for wind and low relative humidity for
the Palmer Divide and portions of the northeast plains of Colorado

* affected area... fire weather zones 241... 245... 246... 247 and

* Winds... south 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Timing... south to southwesterly winds will increase and become
gusty during the afternoon on Tuesday. Record to near record
temperatures in the lower 80s combined with low humidity levels
below 15 percent after 12 PM.

* Relative humidity... as low as 13 percent.

* Impacts... new fire growth may start and spread rapidly and
result in dangerous fire behavior.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
