Small Stream Flood Advisory - Includes Park County

Post by ParkBull » Fri Jul 02, 2021 4:11 pm

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Southeastern Park County in central Colorado...

* Until 500 PM MDT.

* At 337 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms just west of Lake George. This will cause small
stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake George and Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
