Post by ParkBull » Mon Aug 27, 2018 7:19 am

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 11 am this morning to
6 PM MDT this evening for wind and low relative humidity for the
Front Range foothills and northeast Colorado plains...

* affected area... fire weather zones 215... 216... 238... 239...
240... 241... 242... 243... 244... 245... 246... 248 and 249.

* Timing... 1100 to 1800 MDT Monday.

* Winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, except up to
60 mph over the foothills.

* Relative humidity... as low as 12 percent.

* Impacts... fires may start easily with the dry fuels and spread
rapidly with anticipated strong and gusty winds. These gusty
and erratic winds may create unpredictable fire behavior.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
