Winter Weather Advisory - N&W Park County

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
6 PM MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 85 mph with considerable blowing and
drifting snow.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow
Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range,
and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 6 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause
tree damage and power outages. The cold wind chills as low as
20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little
as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
